Bangladesh is marking 25 years since the government signed a peace treaty to end decades of fighting by a tribal insurgent group seeking autonomy in the hilly southeast region bordering Myanmar and India. But tribal organizations and their supporters say the government has yet to resolve critical issues including land disputes in the area, called Chittagong Hill Tracts. Spanish authorities say they are looking for a person who paraglided over a border fence from Morocco to the Spanish enclave of Melilla in what appeared to be a new and creative way to migrate irregularly to European territory. A spokesperson for the Spanish government delegation in Melilla said Friday that two citizens reported seeing the paraglider Thursday afternoon. The flyer ran off after landing, which is why authorities suspect the individual was a migrant. Melilla is one of two Spanish territories in North Africa. In June, 23 people died during an attempt by hundreds of migrants and refugees to force their way in from Morocco, resulting in a stampede.

The United States' newest nuclear stealth bomber is making its public debut after years of secret development. The B-21 Raider gets its name from the 1942 Doolittle Raid over Tokyo and is the first new American bomber aircraft built in more than 30 years. Almost every aspect of the B-21 Raider program is classified. The Pentagon is providing the public its first glimpse of the Raider at an invitation-only event in Palmdale, California, on Friday. Falls Church, Virginia-based Northrop Grumman is building the Raider, which will take its first flight next year.

Hungary’s populist government imposed the price cap on fuel in November 2021, setting the maximum price for gasoline and diesel at 480 forints ($1.22) per liter. The discounted prices made the country a less attractive market for foreign suppliers, leaving state energy company MOL as the only provider of price-capped fuel. With the company struggling to keep up, many stations have limited the amounts consumers can buy when the pumps have any to dispense. The cap is set to expire on Dec. 31.
