Are you planning a trip to  Walt  Disney  World  Resort ? If it’s your first time in a  Disney  Park  or it’s been a while since you visited, a  Disney  packing list  is a helpful place to start. Of course, you are going to pack multiple pairs of comfortable walking shoes, comfy clothing, and your magic band . But if you are also musing over what to pack in your daily  Park bag , we got you!

Packing a bag for a  Walt  Disney  World  Park day is a great idea to ensure your comfort during your day in  Magic Kingdom , Disney’s Animal Kingdom , EPCOT, or Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Take it from a  theme park  pro, there are several things I always stash in my  Park bag . Come on,  let’s pack a P ark bag  for a day at   Disney W orld.

First things first- what kind of bag should you take? That depends, over the years, I’ve had success with  backpacks , mini  backpacks , messenger bags, crossbody bags, and tote bags in the Parks. That said, mini  backpacks  like a  Disney Loungefly bag, durable crossbody bags (like the Kavu brand), and  fanny packs  or belt bags tend to be my favorite.

Ideally, you want to use a durable bag that is large enough to stash your items comfortably without being too large or heavy. No one likes getting a backache from lugging heavy gear in the Park. Now that you have found a bag that works for you, let’s get packing! These are the things you will always find in my Disney  World   Park  bag  and honorable mentions that I sometimes carry.

The central Florida sun is no joke, so I always pack sunscreen to reapply in the Parks. I’m a huge fan of Coppertone Sport Spray Sunscreen. Just remember to step to the side of a secluded area, away from other Guests, before you start spraying.

Staying hydrated in the heat of a  Disney  vacation is non-negotiable. Some Guests choose to bring in a reusable  water bottle . I choose to bring bottled water from my  Disney  Resort  and refill it throughout the day.

No need to bring the whole box, but having around 4  adhesive bandages handy when you need them saves time and money and keeps you comfortable. I most often use these for blisters but have also used them for unexpected cuts and scrapes in  Disney’s Animal Kingdom  and EPCOT.

I am an Altoids Mint fan in the real world, so of course, I am packing those for a day in the Parks. Gum is not sold in  Disney  Parks,  so you’ll notice mints for sale in shops. I save money by bringing my own.

Pro Tip: Take your Altoids out and carry them through Park security in your hand so officers and see them. The metal tin often sets off the security system and leads to a more thorough bag search.

Rain is no big surprise in Florida, you should expect pop-up showers during a  Disney  vacation . For that reason, I always pack my LAND’S END foldable rain jacket. It can be folded to pocket size to take up minimal space in a  theme  park  bag but comes in handy during showers. Ponchos are another great substitute if you don’t have a rain jacket. Remember, a rainy day at Disney  is no big deal!

Disney  trip  costs and  Park Ticket prices are too high not to enjoy every moment. Don’t get caught in a theme park without pain relief on hand. I love Advil Liqui-gels because they work fast. The walking leads to foot and leg discomfort, and the heat can induce headaches that I quickly knock out with Advil.

If I’m going to be sweating in the Park all day long, a mini deodorant in my  Disney  day  bag is an absolute must. Reapplying in the restroom at midday is a refresh that is worth the bag space.

No one wants to be caught without lip balm. Pack a classic Chapstick brand balm. Or snag a SunBum (or similar brand) balm for sun protection.

The miles you walk in Disney  Park are no joke. Even with good shoes and comfy clothes, repeated days of walking can lead to blisters, chaffing, and raw skin. A mini friction block in my bag is a must-have. You can snag friction blocks in stores and online from brands like Band-Aid Friction Block, Mega Babe, Sole Mates, and Body Glide.

If I plan to take photos in the Parks or want to get freshen up before a dinner reservation, I add oil blotting sheets to my  Disney   Park  bag . Clean and Clear blotting sheets take up almost no room in a bag but do a great job helping you pull together a less sweaty appearance before a photo or dining reservation.

Most people today have a  waterproof phone case . But in the event you do not have a waterproof case, you need to bring a  Ziploc bag  in your  Disney   Park  bag  to guard your phone on water rides like  Splash Mountain  and  Kali River Rapids of course, in the event of a pop-up shower.

A portable phone charger is on the must-have list for many folks. I get it, no one likes a low  cell phone  battery. But I tend to only bring an external battery (this is my favorite) when I am going to be in the Parks without a break all day. 

If I have plans for character dining, I will absolutely stash an autograph book in my bag. However, I don’t often join character meet queues in the Parks, so carrying a chunky pen and autograph book just doesn’t seem “worth it” each day.

When visiting in the cooler months of the year, I will stash a sweatshirt in my bag for those early morning extra magic hour or late-night chilly moments. The great news is that a foldable rain jacket also can double as an extra layer of warmth if needed. 

You will not need a wallet in the Park. If you are wearing your M agicBand,  it will serve as your  Park ticket , credit card, and PhotoPass scanner. No need to throw your clunky wallet in your  fanny pack ,  backpack,  or  Disney   Park  bag,  you are good to go!
